I recently received the Flower Fusion Accents & Elements and the Ginger Blossom (I know, what took me so long????) and wanted to use them. I also saw this sketch challenge on Jen Del Muro's blog I {heart} 2 Stamp and decided to play along. This is what I came up with.
This card measures 5.25 x 5.25. I rarely do square cards, so this was a good challenge to get me out of my comfort zone a little. I biggest challenge for me was to balance the busy DP. Orginally I had punched some DP from this same pack but the pattern on pattern was just an eyesore! The next most difficult challenge was to find a sentiment that would fit in this square. I ended up using the "Warm Wishes" from the Hugs & Wishes stamp set, using my marker and SAMJ to make the sentiment two lines instead of one. I just LOVE my SAMJ!!!
This was my first time using Groovy Guava ink! I must admit that I haven't purchased any of the In Colors ink pads this year. I just couldn't afford to invest that much with my business in the "extremely slow" lane. I received the Wild Wasabi and Purely Pomegranate spots in the Three For You Punch Box. I purchased four spot size ink pads off the internet and purchased the ink refills for the four remaining In Colors. Now I have all the In Colors! ;)
Thanks Jan for the challenge!
