The second project that I did at my class last night was this Chalk on Chalk card. This technique is one that I learned from my Technique Junkies newsletter. I did CASE this card from Vada on the Technique Junkies technique webpage, which is password protected so you must be a member to view her gorgeous artwork.
I really think this looks better IRL as the color of the pastels just look better, (and doesn't look quite so sloppy!) The Wrought Iron Corner Slot punch is on Stampin' Up!'s accessory retirement list! I just love this punch, as I think it can really dress up a card.
If you haven't see a copy of SU's accessory retirement list just drop me an e-mail and I'll e-mail a copy to you. Some items are already not available, others are going fast. June 30th is the last day to order unless the supply is depleted first.
Supply List: Stamps: In Full Bloom, Cheery Chat; Ink: Vintage Violet, Elegant Eggplant, CRAFT Basic Black; Paper: Vintage Violet, Very Vanilla; Accessories: Detail Black Emboss Powder, Stampin' Pastels; Wrought Iron Corner Slot, Slit punch, Blender Pens.
