Dad's Birthday Card, Wilson Style

My Dad's birthday is coming along later this month so I thought I'd actually get his card done early. Okay, go ahead and pick your jaw up off the floor and take a look at what I made for him. I was inspired by Kimm's color combination on her blog today. The Brilliant Blue and Certainly Celery just spoke to me, so with this card I started out with the colors first and then picked the stamp set Words by Wilson (retired).

My Dad served in the Navy during Vietnam so I figured he'd appreciate this boat and since I get my humor from him I know he'll laugh. The inside says, "will you pick up my mail while I'm gone?" Haha!

This is a simple card and was easy to put together, but I really like it and the color combination. Masculine cards can be difficult, but I'm so glad this came together so well.

Stamps: Words by Wilson; Ink: Basic Black, Certainly Celery, Brilliant Blue, Real Red Marker; Paper: Certainly Celery, Brilliant Blue, Whisper White; Accessories: SU Distress tool, Sponge Daubers, 1/16" hole punch, Brilliant Blue Brads.
